The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it's alarmed with regard to the higher number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a read more daily basis. The service place developed for intervention ordeals a large inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it complicated to the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to permit the servicing of all consumers and improve use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
